With an initial investment of close to US$3 million, Roca Alliances has launched an ambitious Center of Excellence in Medellín that is expected to generate between 300 and 400 jobs in its first year of operation.
Roca Alliances SAS, a Panamanian company specialized in outsourcing services, has chosen Medellín as the strategic city to consolidate one of the most relevant operations of its regional expansion.
This global company focused on technology solutions, will manage from the capital of Antioquia key functions such as digital transformation, security, services, research and development, and go to market strategies.
“Companies like Roca Alliances strengthen our vision of the city as a reliable destination for business, where local talent drives the growth of international companies. We are happy to welcome them to our Alliances Network and to see how Medellín continues to consolidate itself as a center of innovation and development for Latin America,” said Cristina Zambrano, executive director of ACI Medellín.
“For ProColombia, the arrival of Roca Alliances in Medellin is evidence of Colombia’s enormous potential as a hub for technology services and nearshoring in the region. Our commitment is to continue facilitating investment that generates high quality employment and energizes the local economy of the country of beauty, taking advantage of bilingual and specialized talent to position the country at the digital forefront,” said Carmen Caballero, president of ProColombia.
Since its arrival in October 2024, the company has already hired more than 110 professionals and maintains open about 200 vacancies, especially for profiles with a minimum English level B2 and technical skills in digital areas.
The decision to set up in Medellín was driven by three key factors: the strategic location for nearshoring operations, the quality of the human talent available in the city, and the competitive costs compared to other markets in the region.
With a presence in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Brazil and now Colombia, Roca Alliances sees Medellín as a neuralgic point to serve the Americas market. This bet ratifies the positioning of the city as a hub of innovation and services for foreign companies seeking to grow in Latin America.
ACI Medellin will continue to promote high-impact alliances like this one, in which local talent and foreign investment come together to transform the future of our city.
