Apex IT, a global leader in consulting services for Oracle and Salesforce, has officially launched its operations in Medellín, positioning the city as a key hub within its Latin American expansion strategy. With the creation of its Colombia Innovation Center (CIC), Apex IT joins the growing number of international companies choosing the city not only for its strategic location, but also for its highly skilled workforce and dynamic innovation ecosystem.
Founded in the United States, Apex IT specializes in helping companies around the world optimize their enterprise solutions and advance their digital transformation. The new operations in the District will serve as a nearshore service delivery center for clients, primarily in the United States, with a focus on service delivery, talent development, and operational support — all from one of the most innovative cities in Latin America.
“Medellín offers the perfect combination of a highly qualified workforce, a business-friendly environment, and strong public-private support. It’s exactly the kind of ecosystem we were looking for to expand our impact in the region,” said Abhas Srivastava, Vice President for Latin America at Apex IT.
From its new headquarters in Medellín, Apex IT has begun recruiting professionals specialized in Oracle, Salesforce, and other IT consulting areas. The company plans to hire between 15 and 20 highly qualified professionals by the end of 2025, with medium-term projections exceeding one million USD in investment and continuous expansion in Colombia and the broader Latin American market.
Apex IT also places great importance on social impact and employee well-being. The company plans to implement programs that promote diversity and inclusion, continuous training and development, as well as community engagement through partnerships with educational institutions and local tech initiatives.
“Apex IT’s decision to establish operations in Medellín reinforces our city’s position as a reliable partner for global business. Its investment generates quality jobs, transfers knowledge, and strengthens our international connectivity,” stated Cristina Zambrano, Executive Director of ACI Medellín.
“At Ruta N, we have supported Apex IT in their landing and growth process in Medellín by connecting them with our science, technology, and innovation (STI) ecosystem, especially through local talent engagement via recruitment and training challenges, hiring days, among others. We have also facilitated connections with the Public Employment Office (OPE) and various private partners in talent attraction, selection, and assessment, as well as in training and employment and entrepreneurship centers. This is yet another case that helps us continue positioning Medellín as a global hub for STI,” says Carolina Londoño, Executive Director of Ruta N.
“At ProColombia, we welcome Apex IT’s decision to choose Medellín as its innovation center in Latin America. This announcement strengthens our commitment to connecting global investors with Colombian talent and a dynamic ecosystem that drives digital transformation. We remain committed to promoting and facilitating investments that generate quality employment, transfer knowledge, and position both the country and the region as an innovation hub,” said Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia.
With the support of ACI Medellín, Ruta N, and ProColombia, Apex IT’s arrival in the city boosts Medellín’s goal of becoming the Latin American capital of innovation — a city where global challenges find local talent and solutions.
