Alianza con Fundación Alemana para impulsar inclusión financiera y desarrollo social

Since the end of August 2024, ACI Medellín has initiated strategic discussions with Sparkassenstiftung Alemana Latin America and the Caribbean (German Savings Banks Foundation), with the aim of strengthening international cooperation in the financial sector.

Sparkassenstiftung Alemana is an organization with more than 30 years of continuous experience in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its work focuses on fostering financial inclusion to contribute to sustainable development and promote more equitable societies. In Colombia, it has been a key player in the financial sector, consolidating a key alliance with Asomicrofinanzas, which represents 38 entities that manage 96% of the national microcredit, in addition to promoting financial education and support for MSMEs and agribusinesses.

Aware of the importance of strengthening public policies and the pillars of the Development Plan on social inclusion, economic development and gender equity, ACI Medellín has prioritized the coordination of the German Sparkassenstiftung with key local actors: the Secretariat of Women, the District Bank and the Management of Corregimientos. The goal is to lay the groundwork for other entities to join similar social impact initiatives in the short term.

For ACI Medellín, this alliance represents a strategic opportunity to formalize a cooperation mechanism focused on the most vulnerable population. The objective is to dignify lives through programs that not only provide technical solutions, but also generate applied knowledge to enhance the creation, management and administration of businesses and enterprises led by women, young people and farmers in the District.

With this initiative, the Agency reaffirms its commitment to the internationalization and integral development of Medellín and its metropolitan area, building bridges of cooperation that transcend borders and generate social value.
