Description: The 20th Medellín Book and Culture Festival celebrates its 20th edition with a collective journey that will bring words, books, and the senses to life. In 2026, under the central theme “The Journeys of Reading,” we will come together once again to envision the city as an imagined, narrated, and shared territory. Reading sets us in motion inwardly, broadens our perspective, and builds bridges between memories, cultures, and generations. Every book opens up possible paths, and every fair reminds us that books do not travel alone: they find us, they call us together, they transform us. For ten days, the Botanical Garden, Parque Explora, and the northern part of Medellín will become ports of call for authors, publishers, readers, artists, and communities that have made reading a way of life. Conversations, concerts, exhibitions, children’s programming, workshops, films, guided tours, and many ways of interpreting the world will be part of this grand celebration. Twenty years later, we continue to sail with the wind and words at our backs. Medellín is an open book. And you are part of this story!
